As I look around me and look at all the consoles that have come and gone in my lifetime alone, the ps1, the ps2, xbox, etc. I wonder, why do
I keep my games and the consoles they run so happily on? Surly I will never play these games again, they will just sit in the loft until I’m old and grey. I mean, am I really ever going to show the same amount of love as in days gone by to titles such as Beyblade, Isnogud or Fifa 02!
The answer is probably, No!
I keep them because I don’t wish to just discard them, ever, I am a gaming collector. I have never myself traded-in a game and don’t ever plan on doing so in the future, its just the way I am.
The thing is, I’m beginning to fear that I’m getting left behind by a growing trend, where people play a game complete it then trade it in. I am not saying that this is the wrong thing to do, but I will sometimes get a urge to play a certain game, and when that happens, if I can’t because I’ve traded it it, I would be beside myself with rage….. at myself!!
On the other hand I can see the trade-in view on this, with you being able to play more games and have money in hand to spend on other things, more games if you wish.
So I ask you, which are you, a saver or a trader?
