TF3?
I have heard they might be coming out with another orange box package or some sort? Is this true? hopefully its true because it is a great game

That could explain why it suddenly became free to play.
Wouldn't be the first game that becomes free when a new and better version is getting ready to appear.
It's a comercial tactic, as players who begin to play the free version will perhaps be looking forward to buying the following version, since they already know how amazing the game is.
Just my opinion, though.

very very true kelthar, call of duty is a prime example of the above strategy u mentioned...me personally i still havent got round to even playing TF2 but ill make time during my busy schedule to get on it this week, and my minds thinking gaming nights with the XTR forum....now theres an idea....

TF3 like CSS2? If it is in the pipeline, expect to be waiting for a while.
Although I did see Gabe Newell get really thrown back by the question about CS:S2, updated source (or new) engine, which tbh, its one of the finer engines imo, despite criticism

I don't think they're planning on TF3 yet (or at all), they got dota2 to deliver first
