dead? or opinion?

is this game really dead? :S i remember paying BF2142 with freinds when we were THAT DRUNK haha, flying the planes into people and stuff, good times, is it dead now? i dont see any league/lan activity, i mean, i series tries, but lets not lie, LET IT GO? haha

In my opinion, 2142 killed it.

I have played and loved all right up to BF2 and it's expansions (even if they were a bit of a rip off). But when 2142 came out everyone flocked to it, and it just didn't hold attentions long enough.

Unfortunately as the "new game excitement" died off, so did attention to the series.

Acctually i have to say BF2142 is alive and Kicking, the reason there is no League involvement is CHEATS.. for example Enemy Down Stop there League section due to so many Cheat complaints.

Clanbase still have several ladders in the game and there are Loads of Tournements held by Clans, hard to enter them though as a new clan as they try to only involve clans that they no dont cheat..

In my opinion i believe BF2142 will stay alive untill the next release of BF ( im hoping its Bad Company on PC but doesn't look as though thats gonna happen ).

Another problem clans face is recruiting for BF2142 finding players is increadably difficult unless you are oon the first page of google for several serch terms, and multi games clans require alot of search terms, and with there being no Recruitment pages as such. unlike the more League active games.. ( cod4 css etc ), it just makes the game hard to get players for.

at current there are serveral hunderd thousand players still active on bf2142 and new players still starting all the time, so as i say it wont die but it will be like J5 Said when bf4 comes out..

You guys are COMPLETELY wrong BF2 is still WAYYYY alive. There are still Millions of people who play. I still find thousands of populated servers and clans. And im in a really big clan that has been playing for a long time. Its not evern CLOSE to being dead

Yes but 2142 is beginning to die off. I recon it time for a new battlefield game to be released

They need to get Bad Company out on PC.....

It's a great refresh not having to take it quite so seriously for a change with a BF game.

I appreciate it was developed for Consoles, but surely it would go down well on PC, after all that IS where the Battlefield following is!!

i dont know i really enjoy playing bf2 you get more ecitment then couter strike and those other games to me this game shall live on lol
i been playing this game for about 1 and a half now and i still anit tired of it and do also play other games dont get rong rofl but 2142 aint all that great i didnt really like it that much to many future thuigs in it so im gonna have to stick with dat battle field 2 hehe

tbh, 2142 has its ups and its downs same with bf2, i jus think people still prefer bf2 overall all the bf games. and since the community for bf2 is so huge wit the recent thrive in bf2 mods like PR and other ones bf2 still is number 1

I agree that BF2142 is a dieing game. Though BF2 is still VERY MUCH ALIVE!! There is still a very large player and clan base for Battlefield 2. The things that killed 2142? cheaters. There is no permanent way to ban hackers. Everyone has a dynamic IP these days, and you can change your GUID with a click of a button. There should be a stronge way of banning cheaters such as HDD serial numbers or something of the affect, otherwise things will continue as they are going.

I have found just recently there seems to be more players on bf2142 and more leauges have appeard, so im guessing although it went down the pan a liittle its now on the rise AGAIN
