First opinions on cod5 ?

I was just wondering if some of you already have the new cod ?
What are your first impressions , what's the mp like , etc.

I'm still in doubt wether I buy it or not .

I was sceptical about going back to WW".... However it doesn't feel a bit like the older outings into the great war. Its basically COD 4 with older guns and different enemies. HOWEVER, it's been tweaked just enough to make it seem better

COD5 is an epic game. I suggest you get it

If you play remotely competitively the game is a joke. Sound's awful, looks awful with worse FPS, feels awful, gun balancing is awful, maps are awful, rifles are underpowered and awful, SMGs again dominate the game, vehicles are implemented awfully, not like BF where they enhance gameplay.

Generally, buy it for 360 and play Campaign co-op, otherwise wouldn't bother to be honest.

Agreed Jayzilla but you got to remember Cod4 wasn't perfect when it was first released. I personally didn't like the Beta all that much but bought the game and i'm afraid my opinion hasn't changed all that much. All that Cod5 has going for it, as it stands, are the new maps and the "novelty" factor. Treyarch have gone way out of their league in this as they have tried to develop new aspects of the game, like the sound occlusion they have added but if anything they have made it worse (don't get me wrong the idea is there, but if they are going to introduce they could at least make sure it works before release). Personally i am waiting for a suitable match mod before i fire it up again. Come back Infinity Ward all is forgiven lol.

On a serious note though if you haven't played CoD4 then i would be inclined to get it, if you have then be prepared to be disappointed at first.

Just like to finish in re-iterating that these are my personal opinions and i appreciate that there are fellow gamers that like the game so please don't shoot the messenger

Promod or not, the full game is by far better than the demo, there was some serious work went into tweaking it prior to release......

Unfortunately not on making it easier to install mods

I decided on not buying this game
purely for the fact i liked cod4 and didn't want to go back to WWII

Had a blast playing the first couple of scrims with old friends who currently play for epsylon. Though this was on the map castle which is basicly the only map that i like in this game. Also when promod decided to take sprint out that was a huge bummer for me
